The IICAR is envisioned as a vehicle for promoting, retrieving, supervising, documenting and carrying out historical, social, cultural and anthropological research on the Iranian society for educational purposes as well as for social planning and human resources development. The IICAR by focusing mainly on the fieldwork-based research in the heart of the Iranian society aims to observe, analyze and assess the social and cultural issues. The IICAR contributes to improve the education and research of social science in Iran and provides appropriate responses from a social point of view, to the problems and challenges facing the Iranian society more particularly to the attention of public authorities and decision-makers. In this regard, the IICAR is committed to provide a coherent and thoughtful vision of the realities of the Iranian society, based on evidence.
